DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR STUDENT RESIDENCE PERMIT APPLICATIONS
COMMON DOCUMENTS
1.Residence Permit Application Form
Must be signed by the foreigner and/or their legal representative or attorney authorized by a notarized power of attorney.
2.Copy of Passport or Equivalent Document and, if applicable, Visa
Photocopies of the pages containing identity information, photograph, and visa details (if any). (The original document must be presented on the day the file is submitted.)
3.Two (2) Biometric Photographs
Taken within the last six months, on a white background, and compliant with ICAO biometric standards.
4.Receipt/Document Showing Payment of Residence Permit Card Fee
5.Document Showing Address Information
5.1. Certificate of Residence with Current Date
Obtained through the e-Devlet system (www.turkiye.gov.tr) along with one of the following: an electricity, water, natural gas, or landline phone bill, or a new subscriber contract for new tenants.
(Foreigners applying for an extension or type/ province transfer must register their address.)
5.2. Document Showing Place of Stay
One of the following documents is sufficient:
If the host is married, a notarized undertaking from their spouse is also required.
(Guests staying with a third party must also submit a current electricity, water, natural gas, or landline phone bill—or subscription contract—in the host’s name.)
6.Valid Health Insurance
The policy duration must cover the requested residence permit period. One of the following is sufficient:
(Please present the first page of your policy showing the policy number at the time of application.)
7.National Electronic Notification Address (UETS)
For extension or transfer applications, the document showing the UETS address obtained from a PTT central branch. (Not required for applicants under 18 years of age.)
8.Document Proving Student Status

For applications made on behalf of a child:
(Documents issued in Turkey must be signed/sealed or e-signed. Documents obtained abroad must have an apostille and a notarized Turkish translation.)
(If the issuing country is not a party to the Apostille Convention or if the document lacks an apostille, it must be certified by the relevant foreign authorities [consulate/embassy and Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs or other authorized Turkish institutions] and accompanied by a notarized Turkish translation.)
(If the applicant is under 18 years old, a notarized consent letter from the parent(s) or legal guardian abroad, and a notarized undertaking from a real or legal person in Turkey, as indicated in the consent letter, is required.)
For students attending primary or secondary education (elementary and high school): A student (education) visa is required.
